為學日益，為道日損，損之又損，以至於無為，無為而無不為。取天下常以無事，及其有事，足以取天下。 |

Run the country with the feudal system, and request the people to conform to the feudal class structure and to learn the feudal courtesy. Then, we will have unnatural human behavior increasing day by day. |

wei dao ri sun |
Run the country with dao. Then we will have unnatural human behavior decreasing day by day. |

sun zhi you sun |
Further on, unnatural human behavior will keep on decreasing. |
|
yi zhi yu wu wei |
In the end, the people’s behavior will return to being natural and that will suffice as grounds for non-possession administration. |
|
wu wei er wu bu wei |
By then, nothing will be impossible for the people to achieve under the non-possession administration. |
|
qu tian xia chang yi |
It is always to govern the country without any disputes. That will suffice you to earn respect from all people. |
|
ji qi you shi, bu zu yi qu tian xia |
When there is any dispute, you will never earn respect from all people. |
